My first book is out now...and it's all about you

This is the first copy of my first book, held by the woman who loved me first, lying in the last place she wanted to be.

This shot was taken in mid-October 2017, while my mom was battling an E. coli infection that nearly took her life. I couldn’t wait to visit her in the hospital and give her the book in person, to help her forget the needles and tubes, to lift her away from the pain and uncertainty she’s endured for far too long.

The magnificent smile that lit up the room as she opened this book was the one I’ve wanted to put on her face for over four decades.

My mom will always be my first love and my first hero. “Heroes, Villains, and Drunk Old Men: A Love Story for Real Life,” now available on Amazon in paperback and e-book, will tell you why.

Our culture idolizes the famous, the rich and the successful. What if you were meant to live another story…a better story? That is what Heroes, Villains, and Drunk Old Men will inspire you to do. –Justin Davis // Author, Beyond Ordinary: When a Good Marriage Just Isn’t Good Enough

Filled with poignant stories, practical advice, and powerful photographs, this book shares the best of everything I’ve learned in the past 25 years about how to bring out the best in people.

It uses humanity’s most potent storytelling model to guide you on your heroic journey at work and home, and avoid becoming the villain in your story. In the book, you’ll discover:

  • The three-word mindset behind every successful relationship,

  • How to defeat a crucial psychological blind spot and fight the right fight, for the right reasons,

  • 8 simple questions to keep you on the path of a hero and create more heroes,

  • The way to beat burnout with the best piece of photography gear you’ve never heard of, and

  • The antidote to the fatal one-word flaw at the heart of every villain.

I’ll also introduce you to an inspiring group of formerly drunk old men who have used these techniques to serve and save their corner of the world…even when all hope seemed lost.

And you’ll meet the one true hero who will make your journey worth every step.

Heroes, Villains, and Drunk Old Men is genuine, moving, funny, challenging, and deep. It’s a beautiful reminder reminder that when we step outside our own egos, and begin to truly listen to others, miracles of connection can occur. –Anne Ryder // Emmy-award winning journalist and member of the Indiana Broadcast Hall of Fame

This book will show you how to be the true hero in your life and be a hero to others by paying attention to what really matters. Andy’s combination of movies, stories, and personal observations will help you create more significant moments that matter. –Neen James // Bestselling author of Folding Time and Secrets of Super-Productivity
